Melbourne, Australia: Australian property professionals can get ahead of forthcoming Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Funding (AML/CTF) compliance obligations with registrations now opened for PEXA Clear – a purpose-built solution that draws on PEXA Group’s deep understanding of property transaction processes.

Priced at just $40 + GST per transaction for individuals and starting from $65 + GST per transaction for businesses, PEXA Clear offers value through a flexible, pay-per-use model with no lock-in contracts, sign-up fees or subscriptions. Larger organisations can explore bespoke pricing structures aligned to their transaction volumes.

Embedding into existing workflows, PEXA Clear will also be integrated with Real Time Agent, a market-leading digital platform providing critical workflow solutions to real estate agents across Australia.

PEXA Clear will allow real estate agencies, conveyancers and legal practitioners to prepare for and adhere to new obligations under AUSTRAC’s AML/CTF regulations for Tranche 2 entities involved in real estate transactions, effective from 1 July 2026. The solution will ensure consistency and repeatability in how outcomes are recorded, while embedding compliance processes into existing property transaction workflows.

PEXA Clear is designed to identify and surface money laundering and terrorism financing risks throughout the property transaction lifecycle, with identity verification features including Know Your Business (KYB) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Sanction and Adverse Media Checks will screen and monitor individuals against local and international data sources to detect potential connections to criminal activity.

Monitoring for risk throughout the property transaction, PEXA Clear will continue to review risk assessments based on changes made to supplied information. The solution will also provide actionable guidance on mitigating and/or escalating identified risk, such as what to request, what to document, and when to consider escalation steps including submitting a Suspicious Matter Report (SMR). To minimise administrative burden, PEXA Clear will maintain reporting and audit trails that support with annual and ad-hoc AUSTRAC reporting, and to demonstrate compliance with ease.
