Melbourne, Australia: PEXA Group welcomes the recognition of its Chief Information Security Officer Graham Fairley at the 2026 Australian Cyber Awards, who won the CISO of the Year award. Graham was also acknowledged as a finalist for the Excellence Award.
Graham was awarded for his leadership and achievements in strengthening PEXA Group’s security posture, along with his contribution to bolstering resilience in Australia’s eConveyancing ecosystem. Under Graham’s leadership, PEXA Group has adopted an intelligence-led approach to cyber resilience, driving initiatives that enhance threat detection, incident response readiness and operational resilience. He has been pivotal in strengthening organisational confidence in managing high-impact cyber events, reducing uncertainty and reliance on ad hoc decision-making during incidents, and positioning cyber security as a business resilience and trust enabler.
PEXA Group Chief Technology & Product Officer Pete Bonney described the award as a well-deserved endorsement of Graham’s leadership and exceptional work in safeguarding a crucial platform at the heart of property transactions in Australia.
“As responsible custodians of national critical infrastructure, our security team plays a significant role in safeguarding the eConveyancing ecosystem, which is a deeply interconnected environment that must continually defend against emerging cyber threats.
“This award reflects our deep commitment to resilience, and we’re pleased to have been recognised by the industry for our efforts under Graham’s leadership. Graham led the charge to make resilience a collective responsibility at PEXA, and we thank him for his dedication towards maintaining the integrity of the eConveyancing sector.”
PEXA Group Chief Information Security Officer Graham Fairley said a stronger cyber industry is one that works more collaboratively, and platforms such as the Australian Cyber Awards were an opportunity for cyber professionals to commend and learn from initiatives that safeguard against a rapidly evolving threat environment.
“I’m grateful to the jury and organisers for this recognition. Cyber threats see no boundaries, and we must adopt a similar approach when defending against them. I firmly believe that breaking down organisational silos plays an important role in collectively enhancing cyber resilience in Australia. I’m honoured to have been nominated alongside my peers who are leading the charge with outstanding initiatives, and I thank them for their contribution to building a stronger cyber industry in Australia.”
The Australian Cyber Awards celebrate excellence in the Australian cyber sector, and the role they play in safeguarding individuals, businesses and the Commonwealth.
